James Staley is a multifaceted Canadian entrepreneur renowned in the board game industry as a designer, developer, publisher, author, and podcast host. In August 2018, he founded Tin Robot Games, a Canadian company dedicated to developing and publishing engaging board games. Under his leadership, the company has successfully published eight games through six Kickstarter campaigns, including titles such as “Tanks, but no thanks!”, “Queen of Scots: The Card Game”, “Nutty Squirrels of the Oakwood Forest”, “Hamsters vs. Hippos”, “Planting Evidence”, “Garden Geckos”, and Cities of Venus.
Mike Bruner grew up just north of Portland, Oregon. After his High School days he went to college at Idaho State University where he met his wife Larissa. After graduating in accounting in 2008 he and his wife moved to Medford, Oregon and lived there for about 5 years before relocating to St. George, Utah. Mike and Larissa have enjoyed playing games their whole marriage and their whole lives. In 2019 they successfully funded their first published game, Queen Bee, on Kickstarter. They continue to work on game design together and enjoy playing games with their 5 kids.
