Mike Dunn has been a writer, reviewer, producer, podcaster, videographer, designer, and leader at Gaming Trend for the entirety of its nearly twenty year existence and even part of it’s pre-existence as a console only gaming site.Much of that time was spent with video games, but for the last five years he has headed up Gaming Trend’s tabletop beat, following his mission to give tabletop the shine that video games have enjoyed, and discovering that is where his heart truly was all along.
A retired UX practitioner and front-end developer, Mike often explored areas where his two main interests converged, even speaking at SXSW Interactive about the impact of UX on video game design for a few years. Now his focus is meeting the challenges of a rapidly changing maturing tabletop market by applying lessons learned in video game media for the last twenty years.
